Satisfaction upon arrival

It is 9:30 pm, and the girls of 388 Barnbury Road House have just returned from the Dew Drop Inn pub, where we each purchased a pint of our choice and had some very in depth conversations. We have decided to get into our jammies and hang out, since orientation isn't until 11 am tomorrow. Leslie is slowly moving her stuff into my room, as she hates her tiny closet that has been called a single bedroom. I'm just happy to have a roommate.

I wanted to post some pictures of my room, but I might be forced to make a PhotoBucket account or something since I seem to be experiencing difficulties with posting them on this. I will put the address up as soon as I figure this out.

As for now, the only plans I have are to hang out with the girls tonight/move Leslie in, plow through this week of class, and head to Dublin with the girls downstairs for the weekend. Miss you all!

Before Seattle

Well, here I am, sitting in the airport and waiting for my flight to Seattle. It leaves at 3:30, so I have a few hours to read up on the places that I want to go to, primarily in England as opposed to the other countries of Europe.

I will figure that all out when I get there.

Right now, I'm incredibly sleep deprived (due to hours of a little RLS last night) and just ready to go. My heart is racing with nervousness and excitement and the consumption of way too much coffee today. I have about 11 hours of flight time to look forward to, then I will be in London at noon tomorrow (Saturday).

As far as communication goes, I won't be able to call but I will have Skype and AIM and email, so feel free to use any of them (you can look me up on Skype using my screen name for AIM or my full name). I would love to hear how everyone is doing!

Farewell for now-- my next update will be in my dorm in Oxford. Wish me luck.

Pre-Travels

Since I'm going to be in Europe for the next semester, I figured making a blog for my journey would be the best way to go. Individual lengthy e-mails will not happen very frequently (if you know me at all, this is an obvious statement) so I decided to create a general, easily-accesible online journal for everyone to see pictures and read about my adventures.

I leave for England on January 11th, so I have a few weeks. Getting prepared is fun now that finals are over, and I have a few more things to pick up, like shoes and an adapter (blowing out my new computer does not sound like fun). I'd say I'm excited but to be honest, it hasn't hit me yet, and I don't think that it will until I'm on the plane. For now, it's nice to be home.

So, until my Europe expedition....!
